Bug fix$149 · fixed price

One thing is broken. We find why, and fix it.

A variant picker that stopped updating the price, a mobile menu that will not open, a section that vanished after an update — one problem, reproduced, fixed on a duplicate theme, checked before delivery, explained in writing.

Pay by card → a short intake form → scope confirmed before work starts.

Sound familiar?

Why this keeps costing you

  1. The theme's support says it is an app. The app's support says it is the theme. Nobody fixes it.

  2. You tried the fix from a forum post and now two things are broken.

  3. It only breaks on mobile, only on some products, and only for customers — never when you test it.

Is this for you?

Buy this if — and don’t if

This is for you if

  • One thing is broken and you can point at it: a variant picker, a slider, a mobile menu, a section that vanished after an update.
  • Theme support said “it is an app conflict” and the app said “it is the theme”.
  • You want it fixed on a copy first, not live while customers are shopping.

It is not for you if

  • Five things are broken. Send the list for a quote, or put it in a Studio queue.
  • The fault is inside an app's own code. We can find it and tell the vendor exactly what is wrong; we cannot change their app.
  • The checkout is wrong. On anything below Plus, Shopify hosts it and nobody can edit it.

How it runs

How one fix runs

  1. 01

    Tell us what is broken

The page, what you expect, what happens instead, a screenshot if you have one.

  2. 02

    We reproduce it first

If we cannot reproduce it we say so, rather than guess.

  3. 03

We scope it before we fix it

If it turns out to be two problems, or bigger than one fix, you hear the price for the rest before anything changes.

  4. 04

    Fix, check, preview

On a copy of your theme, checked by an expert before you see it.

The offer, itemised

What $149 buys

  • The problem reproduced on your store before anything is changed
  • The cause identified: theme code, an app, a setting, or a conflict between them
  • One fix, made on a duplicate of your live theme
  • An expert check on mobile and desktop: add to cart, variants, cart and the page the problem was on
  • A preview link, a short written cause, and a change log

What is not included — said plainly

  • More than one problem — each extra one is quoted before we start it
  • Changes inside an app's own code (we diagnose it and write to the vendor for you)
  • Checkout pages below Shopify Plus — Shopify hosts them
  • New features: a fix restores what should already work

What you get back

What lands in your hands

Not a status update — the things you can open, check and keep.

  1. 01

    The cause, in one paragraph

What broke, why, and whether it is the theme, an app or a setting — so you know if it can happen again.

  2. 02

The fix, on a duplicate theme

Checked by experts on mobile and desktop, with add to cart, variants and the cart tested.

  3. 03

A preview link and a change log

You publish when you are happy. The original theme stays as a backup for 30 days.

Fair questions

What people say before they buy

“It is probably a two-minute job. Why $149?”

If it is, you have paid for the certainty: a reproduction, a fix on a copy, an expert check and a written cause. The two-minute fixes that go wrong are the ones done live, on a guess.

“What if you cannot fix it?”

Then we say so, and you keep the diagnosis — which is often worth having on its own when you take it to the app vendor.

“Last time a developer fixed one thing, two others broke.”

That is why the fix is made on a duplicate of your live theme, and add to cart, variants, the cart and the page the problem was on are checked before you see it.

Safeguards

Nothing goes live without you

  • Nothing on your live themeThe work happens on a duplicate. You get a preview link and decide when to publish.
  • Your original, keptThe theme you had stays as a backup for 30 days.

If we cannot reproduce the problem, or cannot fix it, we say so and you keep the diagnosis. If the fix breaks something else we touched, we put it right.

Questions

Straight answers

How do I know it is one problem?

If you can describe it in one sentence and it happens in one place, it usually is. If it turns out to be two, you hear the price of the second before we start it — never after.

Do you need my password?

No. A Shopify collaborator request with theme access is enough. Never send a password to anyone who asks for one.

When will it be done?

We confirm the date when we have reproduced the problem — a date is only worth giving once we know what we are fixing.

What if it was an app all along?

You get the diagnosis in writing, which is exactly what the app's support team needs to fix it on their side.

Things keep breaking?

That is usually a store that needs a queue, not a fix. Studio takes fixes, updates and small builds one after another for a flat monthly fee.
