What happened to Drift Live Chat
Drift is a live chat and conversational marketing product owned by Salesloft, which has announced Drift will be retired on 31 January 2027. We could not find a Shopify App Store listing for it when we checked on 3 October 2026.
What Shopision can help with
- If Drift is still installed on your store: checking what it does today and fixing one problem with it (Fix One Shopify Problem).
- If you need a replacement: choosing a current app such as Gorgias, Tidio or LiveChat and installing it as a standard single-app setup (Install One App, $129, usually about two business days).

Before you ask
Do you work for Drift Live Chat, or with them?
No. Shopision is an independent Shopify team — not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by Drift Live Chat's developer. We work with the app on your store the way your own developer would, and for anything inside the app's own code we tell its support team exactly what is wrong.
Do you need access to my store?
A Shopify collaborator request scoped to themes and apps — never your password, and never send one to anyone who asks. Revoke the access the moment the work is delivered.
How long does it take?
Install One App lists about 2 business days. A fix gets its date once we have reproduced the problem. Anything larger — a migration, several apps working together — gets its date in the written quote, before you pay.
What if it cannot be fixed?
Then we say so, and you keep the diagnosis. If the fault is inside Drift Live Chat itself we cannot change their code, but the diagnosis is usually what gets it fixed when you send it to them.
Is the app's subscription included?
No. An app's plan is billed by its developer and is separate from our service fee. Our price is for the work.
What if Drift Live Chat is the wrong app for this?
We say so before we install it — that is cheaper for both of us than installing it twice. Apps also get renamed, merged or retired; if Drift Live Chat no longer does what you need, moving to a replacement is quoted first.
